Deep in this well of pain,

Slowly pulling myself up the walls,

Foothold after handhold,

Upwards, movement, towards the end,

Far below the water churns with turbulance,

Stones pull and fall away,

Crashing below causing waves in,

the pool of my emotional balance,

Upwards, movement, towards the end,

Handhold after foothold,

Climbing out the well,

Breathing hard, exhausted and beat,

Brushing myself off,

I continue on.
