I stood today on the buildings ledge,
Looking into eternity,
Down that long fall into nonexistence,
Don’t know who I am anymore,
Don’t know what to do,
Don’t know where to go from here,
Looking down that ledge,
I see the end,
I see the pain wash away,
Yet, yet I still hear the call,
Grabbing and pushing me towards the thing called life,
Whispering, ‘life is still part of eternity,’
Looking down again,
I see further down the ledge,
Scared I take a step back,
Holding my breath,
Looking down again,
Hand reaching across the ledge,
Grabbing my angel’s hand,
Grabbing my angel’s hand,
She whispers love to me,
She gives me the will to live,
She my beautiful angel,
Encouraging me to face the day,
Stepping away from the ledge,
Tie my boots,
Walk forward again.
