I haven’t been because I am not old enough, I believe it’s a great place for social interaction and networking. I plan to be involved in projects like this, I’m still working on getting my life in an orderly place so I can come at this with a point of steadiness. If I were to have to involve myself this very moment I would launch board game and table top roleplaying experiences for everyone and then break that down into certain days being available to certain age brackets. Wisdom flows downward so involving everyone at least once a week would add to the social networking and ultimately leading to mental health improvement for the community. With very low overhead costs. Board games are expensive but a one time investment and donations would fill a lot of gaps. The proctor would be a volunteer who was paid 25 to 50 for their time in order to make them feel valued by the community. The park here already has a pavilion so that would cover costs and would have to work within the towns policies to use. Fund raisers could easily cover the costs of this and any extra could be used to source more materials or provide a financial boost for school supplies or community care funds. This wouldn’t take much time to manage or set up. Once up and running the biggest hurdle would be keeping the finances audited properly.
