New days ahead, old days behind,
What a way to unwind,
Few good days behind,
many days to wrap and bind,
With neat little bows,
Greeting friends with tidy hellos,
Feeding and dining amongst common fellows,
Making new memories in the meadows,
New years eve bringing about the dawn,
Mother Eve ushering in her Fawns,
Believe and behold her feeding and watering her own,
Following her under the eaves as danger becomes known,
Without question the New Years is upon us,
Cowering in fear or dancing amongst the dangerous,
Flirting with danger like the cat so curious,
Opening the door into the new year, so precious.
