Once you had much time to wine and dine,
Now your life is shorter than a dime.
When we gathered we laughed and acted like we had forever,
Now we sit and reminisce on old memories and talk into the late hour.
I look at you and think of your once healthy complexion,
Now I see you wither into oblivion.
I think of you passing and putting you into the ground,
You’re leaving me to wander alone all around.
Sometimes I wish we never met,
Because the thought of you leaving is so imminent,
I have this longing to never let you go,
But I know I must see you off, never mind my woe.
You must pass on to continue the cycle,
One day I’ll ride into death on my lonely unicycle.
Then we will be together again
Enjoying each other’s company riding a two person bicycle.
