I write what I want to read. If others like it, I study the piece and ask myself what about it caught the readers eye. Sometimes it is easy, especially when someone comments about what touched them about the piece they read. Other times it is guesswork. I’m sure Emily Dickson had some horrible poems just like I do, and I am positive she had some excellent poems, like I might have. I’ve never sat down with anyone and discussed them. I hope they are good, I have a lot of views from around the globe, from every inhabited continent, so I have some evidence my hopes are true.
