If I could relive one day of my life it would depend categorically. I have some events that are amazing, but I think only deserve to be lived once because the memories are so dear to the heart, they would lose their meaning forever if we lived it again. In example, witnessing the birth of my eldest.
The day that comes to mind though is a historic moment for the world. I had the opportunity to sit in a room full of foriegn officers and teach them how to build and run an administrative program. We sat down to dinner, I being the only enlisted in the room with the officer I was serving and protecting sitting at the same table. We shared lemon chicken, lemon greens, and roasted potato’s. It was one of the few moments of my career that I felt deeply proud of myself.
My past was filled with so many tragedies, that to experience that win in real time and to be making an impact for both their country and our country at the same time. Well, I’m proud of myself and the work we all did to make it happen.
