STAR TREK VOYAGER: EYE OF THE NEEDLE
EPISODE 6
14:20 – 16:00
Do Holograms deserve the same respect and dignity as a human, are human rights to be given to
A.I.?
19:00 – 21:40
Do Holograms have enough capacity to have feelings about their thought? How would a Hologram understand to assign the same feelings a human to a situation?
How would I address my computer if it had an A.I. presence? How does it learn? How does it feel? How does it interpret what it feels? Where do the interpretations come from? Who authorizes those interpretations? Because, since A.I. is programed by humans, who, what, when, where, and why do those particular set of programing parameters are set and met?
Is there a limit to the parameters set to understanding emotions? What would one do if they introduced psychopathy to A.I.? Would they be able to create mental illness in A.I.?
~If the understanding is that environment & chemical imbalances both contribute to mental health.~
If an A.I. developed mental health would it be moral to shut them down, or the moral obligation of the creator & or sustainer to figure a cure for the malfunction?
Why and how does one become an overseer of an A.I.? Is it moral to be an overseer of an A.I.? Wouldn’t the A.I. then be a slave to the overseer? Are A.I. less equal than humans, would they be observed differently if they committed a crime?
How are understanding emotions and understanding moral judgements different? Wouldn’t their moral obligations and understanding of justice be skewed by the creator/programmer? What would give A.I. motive to change their mind about a topic, especially if the topic originated from a lie?
