One of my favorite things about my job as an RP in support of the FMF deployment to Camp Lemonier was the humanitarian work. We made such an impact, it was an awesome experience to be part of. My job was to coordinate visits to three orphanages and work with the orphanage leadership on construction projects, visiting the children, helping the staff feed and take care of the babies. Along with working side by side with NGOs to provide direct support to them for their mission to aid the refugee camp that surrounded the city. We built AIDS clinics, Libraries, Schoolhouses, and Wells. The work was so profound. I miss it.
