Caterpillar’s to some are cute and fun to touch and they mesmerize the people who love them. However, with great warning do I write this to those people. The caterpillar in the above photo is called an Asp Caterpillar and is poisonous to the touch. It’s venom causes a great burning sensation and pain which may radiate all the way to the armpit. Please before you touch any new creature, insect, animal, plant, or fungus; ensure what your touching isn’t harmful. Take a photo, and enjoy the memory. Otherwise the memory you make may involve a painful ER visit or worse.
