No Belonging

Here I am, Sitting here listening, Hypocrisy, The basis for the beginning and middle of my life, Christianity hysterity, All law, no love, All sin, no pleasure, All hate, no embracure, Never loved, never once, Always judged, Was I, I didn’t walk away, I never belonged.

Eating a PB&J in God’s Hand

Needle pricks my skin, Looking at the needle of hysteria, Feeling the sparkles pop, Colors fade to white, As eyes close seeking Nirvana, God, I reached You, Just in the nick of time, A jack I pulled from the deck of life, Winning the lottery, Meeting me where I stand, Here I am, Bare and…

The morning I woke I up, And saw my worth, Looking in the mirror, Middle-aged & baggy-eyed, Staring back at the shaggy man, Reflection of sand and time, In the mirror staring back, The lad of nine I used to know, In the mirror staring back, The young man humping sandy dunes, In the mirror…

Church

Standing in Atrium, waiting for my blessing, Sitting in the pew, head bowed in submission, Dancing in the Sanctuary, whispering about Mrs. Bouncin, Swimming in the Baptismal, singing heart out for Jesus.
