During my time at College in my pursuit of a Bachelors of Science in Religion and a Minor in Biblical Studies a question popped up from time to time, especially in Theology class. Will people who predate the Law given to Moses be redeemed and found in Heaven? The answer is found in Romans 5:13.
“13. To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. 14. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam.”
Romans 5: 13-14, NIV Study Bible (Red Letter Edition), *Kindle Edition*
Those who lived before the time of the law, still subject to the sin of Adam & Death, but redeemed from original sin through Jesus’ sacrifice on the Roman cross.
(A side thought for further study, this author wonders if any parallels have been drawn over Jesus’ death on a “Roman” cross and His coming to save the Gentile?)
